Arizona IRC Releases Grid Maps and Demographic Report
The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission released the Grid Maps, which are creating using ONLY population, census blocks and tract. These maps are not reflective of the future Congressional districts. The Commission approved the maps with a 5-0, a trend Chairwoman Eric Neuberg hopes to continue. Neuberg attempted to get ahead of any concern about the maps being the district. “Let’s refrain from commenting on substance of the lines since that is what we will be doing in subsequent weeks.” Said Chairwoman Neuberg.
The Arizona State Demographer also shared a presentation on the 2020 census.
